Job Title: Lead, Machining Center Operations
- POSITION SUMMARY
This position provides support for the machining center first and second shift operations. Responsibilities will also include resolving technical issues, workflow and priorities, training and evaluating new machinists technically evaluate potential new products for feasibility. Programming new products and informing the Manager of all personnel issues as they pertain to first and second shift operations. As needed, is required to assist in the manufacturing process.
- MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Associates degree in a technical area or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Previous workflow leadership experience in a technical manufacturing environment is required.
- Experience with Lean and pull systems is a plus.

- PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to work overtime as needed.
- Must be punctual, able to sustain attendance guidelines, and work hours as assigned.
- Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs.
- Must be able to move from one department to another rapidly.
- Must be familiar with MS Word, Excel,
- Must have superior manual dexterity.

- Coordinate the workload requirements by developing first and second shift schedules for the machining center.
- Incumbent will be responsible for handling all the day-to-day workflow issues which arise including meeting production requirements, technical problem resolution, training, and all other workflow matters.
- Informs management of employee behavior that does not conform to company polices.
- As the department Lead, the incumbent will be expected to assist in the manufacturing processes as needed.
- Train coworkers, new-hires, or other employees to perform machining, adjustments as well as programming steps or other tasks related to supporting the work cell/department.
- Assist in the selection of new equipment.
- Develop machining processes to support new product introduction.
- Responsible for ordering and maintaining necessary tooling requirements for production.
- Coordinate all machining activity by setting all priorities for production orders.
- Aware of practices and processes utilizing current management tools.

The incumbent in this position is generally responsible for following ISO-13485 (current revision) and FDA/QSR guidelines as described in the procedures related to his/her specific job responsibilities.
