Position Summary:
As a CNC Machinist at our company, you will play a critical role in manufacturing components essential to our operations. We are seeking an individual with a deep understanding of CNC mill machining, particularly with 5-axis machinery. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in the field, with a minimum of 3 years dedicated to working with 5-axis machining. Expertise in CAM programming and the ability to set up and run machines independently are crucial. Experience with manual mill and lathe operations will be considered a valuable asset.
Key Responsibilities:
Program, set up, and operate CNC mills, with a strong focus on 5-axis machining, to produce parts accurately and efficiently.
Interpret complex engineering drawings and follow written and verbal instructions to meet high-quality standards.
Perform CAM programming to optimize machining processes and improve efficiency.
Conduct machine setup and calibration tasks independently, ensuring equipment is maintained in optimal condition.
Monitor machine operations and adjust parameters as necessary to achieve desired results.
Inspect and measure finished products to verify conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments.
Troubleshoot issues during the machining process and make necessary adjustments or repairs.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with company policies and safety regulations.
Collaborate with team members and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in CNC mill machining, including at least 3 years with 5-axis machinery.
Proficient in CAM programming with a proven ability to set up and run machines independently.
Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, and fixture design.
Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications.
Experience with manual mill and lathe operations is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
