RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Plan machining by studying work order, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications.
2. setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches, calculating requirements, including basic math
3. Maintain dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of offsets and instruments such as micrometers and veneer calipers.
4. Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, milling, tapping, boring, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes, and replacing worn tools.
5. Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process. Adjust as necessary for conditions and to the produce the fastest, safest, highest quality part possible.
6. Inspect parts per blueprint and as instructed.
7. Inspect items as instructed and provide feedback to management to ensure any quality defects can be avoided in the future.
8. Other duties as assigned.
9. Follow established personal protective equipment requirements.
10. Follow established safety procedures.
11. Clean up job site after work and return equipment and tools.
12. Maintain a clean work environment.
13. Owns tools.

• Must demonstrate regular attendance
• Must demonstrate job responsibility consistency
• Requires the ability to read blueprints
• Requires the ability to read and follow detailed written and/or verbal instructions
• GM Code Programmer
