CNC Machinist at PrideStaff

• Utilize Engineers program data via storage device installed into the CNC that programs mills and lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs
• Set-up mills and lathes by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers; indicating vices; tramming heads
• Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by mechanical drawings etc.
• Prepare a test run to check if the machine produces outputs according to specifications
• Verify settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces, adhering to international standards
• Maintain specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting controls; replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes
• Adhere to all quality standards and safety procedures, recognizing unsafe situations and taking
• Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality
• Operate a forklift to pick materials for projects to be cut on the CNC
• Operate a forklift to load and unload materials and components onto and from trucks

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $20.00 - $25.00 Per Hour
