About the Job
- Machine Setup: Prepare the CNC machine for operation by loading the appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials. Ensure that the machine is calibrated and programmed correctly.
- Programming: Input the necessary parameters into the CNC machine, including cutting speeds, tool paths, and dimensions, based on engineering drawings and specifications.
- Operation: Monitor the CNC machine during operation to ensure that it is producing parts within tolerances and quality standards. Make adjustments to the machine settings as needed to optimize production.
- Quality Control: Inspect finished parts for accuracy, completeness, and quality. Identify and address any issues or defects in the machining process.
- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on the CNC machine, such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts, to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while operating the CNC machine and working in the manufacturing environment. Report any safety hazards or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production activities, including machine settings, tool usage, and quality inspection results.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience operating CNC machines, preferably Rittal Perforex machines, in a manufacturing setting.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of CNC programming languages, such as G-code.
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
