CNC Machinist (Days) - TEC Group Inc.

Position Type: Full Time Contract
Shift: Days (Monday - Friday, Start time ranges from 5am-7am and shift is 10 hours) 
Job Description:
Operate various pieces of equipment to support the operation and help Skilled Trades, Applications, Controls, and Mechanical Engineering teams to design, build, program, and deploy custom automated equipment and solutions.

• Setup, and operate 3-axis vertical machining centers.
• 2-5 years experience with setup and operation of CNC machining centers.
• Programming experience with CAM software preferred.
• High mix, low volume 2D and 3D milling of simple to complex machined details.

What You’ll Do:

• Set up, and operation of machine tools such as mills.
• Typically, will be assigned a CNC vertical mill to be ran daily.
• Mazak, Hurco.
• Read blueprints and machines metallic and nonmetallic parts to print tolerances.
• Import CAD data and use FeatureCAM software to program CNC machining centers.
• Calculate feeds and speeds, adjusts for cutting conditions to optimize processing.
• Perform PM on machines and maintains the housekeeping of the work area.
• Clearly communicates potential quality issues with management.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2 years prior machining experience or vocational school preferred
• Journeyman machinist preferred but not necessary.
