The primary purpose of this job is to be responsible for producing machined parts by operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies in a fast-paced machine shop.
n this role, you will be responsible for operating CNC Machines to product metallic components that range in size from 2 inches in diameter/short length to 20-inch diameter/long length. As a Machinist II you are also responsible for ensuring all quality and safety standards; and maintaining equipment and supplies in this fast-paced machine shop.
A successful Machinist II uses their interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, understands machining principles, and is able to analyze and resolve difficult problems effectively and implement long-term solutions.
Operate CNC lathes to produce metallic components: sizes range from 2-inch diameter/short length to 20-inch diameter/long length
Use instruments and gauges, along with shop tools to verity operational drawing requirements and part conformance
