CNC Machinist - PrideStaff

Job Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate with various materials per production schedule, verify and operate controls, set offsets, deburr, and inspect quality parts for conformance to requirements
• Edit programs for CNC equipment using FIBBS CAM 12 offline programming, using G & M code formats as necessary
• Study and interpret drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and toleranes of workpieces, sequence of operations, and setup requirements
• Maintain specs by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning facing and thread facing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting, sharpening, and replacing warn tools
• Detect equipment malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machines and adjust the machine within capabilities, report all machine malfunctions
• Inspect finished work product
• Maintain equipment by colmpleting preentative maintenance requirements
• Update and maintain Visual Management on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis

Job Requirements / Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Knowledge in the use of precision measuring instruments and the application of such instruments (calipers, ID and OD micrometers, depth gages, indicators, and scales)
• Minimum 3 years experience in set-up and operation of CNC machinery: multi-axis lathes and 4-axis horizontal milling, vertical milling machines 
• Ability to read blueprint drawings and interpret geometric tolerance
• Must possess a positive attitude for success in a team-driven environment
• Must be adaptable to a changing production schedule and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
• Experience working in a Lean organization is a PLUS
