Are you a seasoned CNC Machinist who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! Our leading manufacturing company is seeking a skilled Permanent CNC Machinist to join our dynamic team.
The Permanent CNC Machinist will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC Mill and Lathe machines, ensuring quality and efficiency, and troubleshooting any issues that arise. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, a strong commitment to safety standards, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent CNC Machinist, your duties will include but are not limited to:
1. Setting up and operating CNC Mill and Lathe machines.
2. Reading and interpreting engineering blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
3. Selecting and installing appropriate tools and fixtures for each job.
4. Monitoring machine operation, making necessary adjustments to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
5. Inspecting finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
6. Performing routine maintenance on machines to ensure their longevity.
7. Troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arise during the machining process.
8. Complying with all safety regulations and maintaining a clean and orderly work area.
9. Collaborating effectively with team members and other departments to ensure smooth workflow and high productivity.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you must have:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC Machinist, specifically with Mill and Lathe machines.
2. Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
3. Excellent knowledge of CNC machine setup and operation.
4. Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve machining issues efficiently.
5. A solid understanding of quality control principles and methods.
6. The ability to perform routine maintenance on CNC machines.
7. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
8. A strong commitment to safety and cleanliness in the workplace.
9. High school diploma or equivalent; a degree from a technical/vocational school is a plus.
10. CNC certification or relevant training would be an asset.
