- Develop and write equipment specifications, performance requirements, and cost analyses for integrating machinery such as CNC lathes, CNC mills, robotic controllers, and programmable controllers into manufacturing processes.
- Proficient in understanding and writing CNC (G-code) programs, ensuring optimal machine performance.
- Oversee installation processes to ensure machines and equipment are installed and functioning according to specifications.
- Test the capabilities of machines, such as robots, to perform tasks effectively.
- Collaborate with personnel to implement operating procedures and resolve system malfunctions.
- Determine parts supply, maintenance tasks, safety procedures, and service schedules required to maintain machines in optimal condition.
- Develop models of alternate processing methods to test feasibility and recommend implementation of improved procedures.
- Stay abreast of new developments in the field by participating in meetings, seminars, and training sessions.
- Provide technical information to stakeholders in other departments, such as marketing, legal, and engineering.
- Develop and conduct equipment training programs, ensuring effective knowledge transfer to trainees.
- Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
- Adhere to the policies, procedures, and instructions of the QS 9000 and MS 9000 systems.
Job Details
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of three to five years of related experience in CNC operations and equipment integration.
- Proficiency in reading, analyzing, and interpreting technical documents and presenting information effectively to various stakeholders.
- Advanced mathematical skills for complex problem-solving and analysis.
- Strong reasoning ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with moving mechanical parts.
- Physical ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
- Familiarity with working in environments with exposure to mechanical hazards and moderate noise levels.
