Job Title: CNC Machine Operator - Punch (Overnight: 12-Hour Shifts)
Job Summary: The CNC Machine Operator - Punch is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC punch machines to produce precise components from various materials, such as metals, with high accuracy. Core Responsibilities:
- Machine Setup: Configure and prepare the CNC punch machine by installing the correct punch and die tools, setting material feeds, and programming according to job specifications.
- Programming and Operation: Load and adjust CNC programs, interpreting technical drawings, CAD/CAM files, and blueprints to ensure that each punch pattern is precise and meets exact specifications.
- Material Handling: Safely load and secure sheet metal or other materials, making adjustments as necessary to ensure alignment and efficiency.
- Quality Control: Perform thorough quality checks during and after punching to verify that tolerances and specifications are met, using creativity and innovation to solve issues and refine processes.
- Machine Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance, including cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting the machine and tools, to ensure smooth operation and avoid delays or breakdowns.
