Responsibilities
- Perform on-site installation, maintenance, and repair of CNC machines, including 3-4 axis VMCs and 2-4 axis lathes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and mechanical issues in CNC equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal machine performance.
- Provide technical support and training to clients on proper machine operation and maintenance.
- Document service activities and maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed.
- Collaborate with engineering and sales teams to address customer needs and improve service offerings.
- Travel to customer sites across the Midwest and East Coast as required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in heavy equipment repair, with a strong focus on CNC machinery.
- Excellent electrical troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and repair electrical issues.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills, capable of identifying and resolving mechanical failures.
- Experience working with CNC Mills (3-4 axis and 5+ axis VMC) and CNC Lathes (2-4 axis and 5+ axis).
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively while traveling for service calls.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with clients and team members.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned regions.
