Our long term client is a growing manufacturing company specializing in precision machining and fabrication. They are currently seeking an experienced CNC Machinist/Programmer to join their team. Position Overview:
As a CNC Machinist/Programmer, you will play a crucial role in producing high-quality machined components for a variety of industries such as the aerospace, automotive and medical device industries that require tight tolerance machining. You will be responsible for setting up, operating, and programming CNC machines (Lathes), interpreting blueprints, adjusting tooling, making offsets, and using precision measurement tools to ensure the accuracy of the final products. Your expertise will contribute to the success of their operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and program Fanuc controlled - CNC Lathes (turning) using Mastercam, Gibbs or other CAM software in accordance with production specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings to ensure the accurate machining of components.
- Upload programs and make necessary adjustments to machine parameters.
- Select and install appropriate tooling and make tooling offsets as needed.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machines.
- Conduct First Article Inspection (FAI) using tools such as: Vernier calipers, Dial calipers, Digital calipers, Micrometers, Bore micrometers, Depth micrometers, Optical Comparators, to measure and inspect parts to meet precise specifications.
- Monitor and maintain quality control throughout the machining process.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of CNC machining experience.
- Minimum 3yrs of CNC Programming experience. Proficiency in setting up and operating CNC machines.
- Strong blueprint reading skills.
- Ability to read and understand CNC programs (G & M codes - Fanuc control).
- Knowledge of tool selection, tooling setup, and making tool offsets.
- Proficiency in using metrology tools (CMM experience is a plus)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot machine issues.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Willingness to work with a safety-first mindset.
Hours/Shifts:
- 1st Shift
- Mon-Fri. 7:00am to 3:30pm
- Overtime available

$32hr-$42hr (OR) $75-110K DOE
