We are currently seeking a highly skilled CNC Lathe Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced professional to work with cutting-edge technology and machinery to produce precision components. In this role, you will utilize your expertise in CNC lathe operations, blueprint reading, and machine set-ups, to ensure that our products meet the highest industry standards.
Responsibilities:
As a CNC Lathe Machinist, you will be responsible for:
1. Operating and maintaining CNC lathe machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling etc.
2. Understanding specifications of the task at hand by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings etc.
3. Translating instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function.
4. Setting up machines to start a production cycle, including adjusting speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth of cut.
5. Controlling and adjusting machine settings (e.g. speed, feeds) and managing offsets.
6. Inspecting and measuring finished products to ensure they meet requirements using precision tools such as micrometers and calipers.
7. Checking and maintaining machinery daily to ensure functionality.
8. Performing routine machine maintenance and repair minor damages.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A minimum of 4+ years of experience as a CNC Lathe Machinist in a manufacturing setting.
2. Proficiency in operating CNC lathe machinery and tooling as well as precision measurement tools.
3. Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings.
4. Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.)
5. A keen eye for detail and results-driven approach.
6. Excellent manual dexterity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
7. Strong understanding of the mechanics of machines.
8. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
9. Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong team player.
10. High school diploma or equivalent; certificate or diploma in engineering, machining, or a relevant field is a plus.
11. Knowledge of blueprint reading
