We are seeking a Quality Inspector to play a pivotal role in ensuring the precision and excellence of products.
About the Role
As a Quality Inspector, you will work closely with and report directly to an experienced Inspection Manager. In this role, you will:
- Inspect a diverse range of precision parts with tight tolerances (some as precise as 0.0002 inches!)

Schedule
- 1st Shift: 4x10 schedule, Monday through Thursday, 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
- Overtime: Scheduled on Fridays, from 5:00 AM to 1:00 PM—allowing for an early start to your weekend while still earning overtime!

Experience inspecting aerospace or similar parts is required!
Responsibilities:Inspection and Quality Control:
- Perform first article, in-process, final inspection, etc. to verify conformance to customer requirements, drawings, and internal processing requirements, etc. using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, V-Blocks, and CMM (this is an opportunity to continue to develop skills utilizing a CMM)
- Identify and report any non-conforming or out-of-specification parts for corrective action.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and detailed inspection records, including measurements, findings, and observations.
- Generate inspection reports and documentation for each batch of machined parts, highlighting any discrepancies or issues.
- Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to ensure compliance with quality standards and procedures.
Equipment Calibration and Maintenance:
- Ensure the proper calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment to guarantee accurate measurements.
- Assist in the calibration schedule and record-keeping for all inspection tools and equipment.
Process Improvement:
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inspection processes, reduce defects, and increase efficiency.
- Provide input on design and manufacturing improvements based on inspection results and feedback.
This position is due to growth and works with the machine shop to ensure quality meets the highest standards possible.
Qualifications:- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in mechanical engineering, machining, or a related field is preferred.
- AS9100 & ISO 9001 experience is necessary
- Minimum one year of experience as a Mechanical Inspector or Quality Control Inspector in a CNC machine shop or similar manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of precision measuring instruments and inspection techniques.
- Detail-oriented with a keen eye for identifying discrepancies and defects.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to work independently.
- Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
