Job Details
Overview:
The CNC Field Service Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of CNC machinery and automated equipment at customer sites. The ideal candidate must have experience with automated equipment and a strong electro-mechanical aptitude to ensure efficient and reliable machine operations.
Install and set up CNC machinery and automated equipment at customer locations.
Ensure equipment is operating according to specifications and customer requirements.
Maintenance and Repairs:
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on CNC machines and automated systems.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system issues on-site.
Technical Support:
Provide technical support and training to customers on the proper use and maintenance of CNC equipment.
Assist customers with troubleshooting and resolving machine performance issues remotely and on-site.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain detailed service records, including maintenance logs, repair reports, and parts inventory.
Report any recurring issues or potential improvements to the Service Manager.
Customer Interaction:
Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs and provide excellent service.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
Compliance and Safety:
Adhere to all company safety protocols and procedures while working on customer sites.
Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal safety regulations and standards.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience working with CNC machinery and automated equipment in a field service role.
Education: Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
Technical Skills:
Strong electro-mechanical aptitude, with experience in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and control system issues.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
Familiarity with PLCs, VFDs, and CNC control systems.
Soft Skills:
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Customer-focused with a commitment to providing high-quality service.

Full-time position with the possibility of overtime and on-call duties as needed.
Frequent travel to customer locations is required.
