Agency staff must have completed the original or updated COVID-19 vaccine or present a documented religious and/or medical exemption from their employer to be considered for any assignment.
Additional doses must be obtained where required by law.
Job Summary:
As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will assist licensed nursing staff inproviding basic patient care, monitoring vital signs, and ensuring the comfortand safety of patients within a healthcare facility. You will work closely withnurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to support the overallwell-being of patients.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, feeding, andtoileting.
2. Assist patients with mobility by transferring them in and out of beds,chairs, or wheelchairs.
3. Take and record vital signs, such as temperature, pulse, respiration rate,and blood pressure.
4. Assist in the implementation of care plans developed by licensed nurses.
5. Observe and report any changes in patients\' conditions to the nursing staff.
6. Respond to patient calls and requests for assistance promptly andcourteously.
7. Maintain a clean and organized patient environment, including changinglinens and tidying patient rooms.
8. Follow proper infection control procedures to prevent the spread ofillnesses.
9. Assist with the transportation of patients within the facility as needed.
10. Provide emotional support to patients and their families.
Requirements:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Successful completion of a state-approved nursing assistant trainingprogram.
3. Current certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state ofemployment.
4. CPR certification may be required.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.
7. Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards patients.
8. Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, walking, bending,and lifting.
