Job Title: CNA Scheduler and Supervisor

Location: Skilled Nursing Facility, Illinois

Job Summary: The CNA Scheduler and Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and scheduling Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to ensure adequate staffing levels in a skilled nursing facility. This role also involves supervising CNAs, ensuring high standards of care, and maintaining compliance with staffing regulations and facility policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage daily, weekly, and monthly CNA schedules.

• Coordinate with nursing staff to fill open shifts and manage shift changes.

• Ensure compliance with state and federal staffing regulations.

• Maintain accurate records of staff attendance, absences, and overtime.

• Communicate schedule changes and updates to CNAs and nursing staff.

• Supervise and support CNAs in their daily tasks and responsibilities.

• Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to CNAs.

• Assist with onboarding and training of new CNAs.

• Address and resolve scheduling conflicts and issues.

• Collaborate with the nursing management team to assess staffing needs.

• Monitor and report on staffing metrics and trends.

• Ensure CNAs adhere to facility policies and procedures.

• Handle disciplinary actions and conflict resolution as needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in healthcare administration is a plus.

• Previous experience in scheduling or staffing, preferably in a healthcare setting.

• Experience in a supervisory role within a healthcare environment.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proficiency in scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.

• Knowledge of state and federal staffing regulations for skilled nursing facilities.
