  • Performs a variety of fundamental patient care and environmental procedures under the supervision of the Registered nurse.

• JOB SPECIFICATIONS
  • Education and/or experience: High school graduate or equivalent. Successful completion of CNA course. Tennessee State CNA certification. High school graduate or equivalent requirement may be waived when CNA program is completed as part of a high school program and student has reached 18 years of age and currently enrolled in school.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of sterile techniques and special procedures that are applicable to work performed. Knowledge of sanitation, personal hygiene and basic health and safety precautions applicable to work in a hospital. Knowledge of infection control procedures, safety precautions, techniques involved in administering routine treatments to patients. Basic computer knowledge.
  • Skills: Excellent Customer service and Active listening.
  • Abilities: Ability to communicate clearly with patients, families, visitors, and healthcare team Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions, e computer and learn new software programs. Ability to document and communicate pertinent information using computer and/or paper. Ability to work and remain focused and organized in a stressful and fast paced environment. Ability to work flexible hours and days to meet facility needs.
