About the Job
CNA Instructor will manage, deliver, and track the clinical and vocational component of healthcare curriculum including but not limited to students interested in healthcare careers to build the knowledge and clinical skills aimed at passing the licensing exam for the Certified Nurse Assistant certification.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:The Certified Nursing Assistant Instructor / Program Director RN is responsible for the development, management, evaluation, and tracking of the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program
• Will serve as the Program Director and Program Coordinator as required
• If a state approved training program is not in place, and if serving as the Program Director, the CNA Instructor will develop the program from inception through state approval.
• Creates, organizes, and assists in the development of training manuals and other educational materials for the training program
• Facilitate, coordinate and/or conduct training programs/meetings.
• Sole accountability for compliance of the Nursing Assistant Program according to state Guidelines for a Nurse Aide Training Program
• Maintaining student records within state Guidelines for a Nurse Aide Training Program
• Overseeing the instructional content of the Nursing Assistant Program
• Communicate updates and changes to state Guidelines for a Training Program to RTP and campuses
• Serve as a liaison between the center’s Nursing Assistant Training Program and the state Department of Health
• Document student progress and skill proficiency according to state Guidelines
• Provide direct supervision of students at clinical site
• Model and promote exceptional employability skills
• Provide education and resources to prepare students to pass the Nursing Assistant Competency Exam (state exam).
• Schedule students to take the Nursing Assistant Certification Exam2
• Follows State Department of Health application, guidelines, and renewal format.
• Establishes assessment tools and measure results of nursing assistant course completion.
• Ensure rules and/or policies governing student conduct and standards of behavior are maintained in all academic settings.
• Require satisfactory performance of all critical knowledge and skills to ensure students are competent before performing patient care activities.
• Evaluate and assess mastery of knowledge and skills through administering and grading examinations, assignments, skills assessments, and clinical evaluation.
