Job Summary: The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) plays a crucial role in providing direct care to residents in our long-term care facility. CNAs assist residents with activities of daily living, provide emotional support, and contribute to a positive and nurturing environment. The CNA reports to the RN Supervisor or Charge Nurse and collaborates with other healthcare professionals to ensure the well-being of residents.

Key Responsibilities:   PER DIEM (CNA) CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT

• Patient Care:

·         Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.

·         Transfer and assist residents with mobility as needed.

·         Monitor and report changes in residents' physical and emotional well-being.

• Vital Signs and Monitoring:

·         Take and record vital signs accurately.

·         Observe and report any abnormalities or changes in residents' conditions to the nursing staff.

• Assistance with Medical Procedures:

·         Assist with medical procedures, as directed by the nursing staff.

·         Provide support to residents during examinations or treatments.

• Nutrition and Hydration:

·         Assist with feeding residents, ensuring proper nutrition and hydration.

·         Monitor and report any changes in residents' dietary preferences or restrictions.

• Communication:

·         Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members.

·         Document care provided and report any significant information to the nursing staff.

• Mobility Assistance:

·         Assist residents with mobility devices and exercises.

·         Implement fall prevention measures.

• Emotional Support:

·         Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.

·         Encourage socialization and engagement in activities.

• Safety and Infection Control:

·         Follow proper safety and infection control procedures.

·         Maintain a clean and organized environment.

• Collaboration:

·         Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, therapists, and social workers.

·         Attend and actively participate in team meetings and training sessions.

• Resident Advocacy:

·         Advocate for residents' rights and preferences.

·         Report any concerns about resident care or well-being to the nursing staff.

NOW HIRING:  PER DIEM (CNA) CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT

Qualifications:

·         Current certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of New Jersey

·         High school diploma or equivalent.

·         CPR certification.

·         Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

·         Compassionate and patient-focused approach.
