What do I need as a Certified Nursing Assistant - CNA with Messiah Lifeways?
- Nursing Assistant training and current registration on the Nurse Aide Registry
- Meet the requirements to maintain registration on the Nurse Aide Registry.
What will I do as a Certified Nursing Assistant - CNA with Messiah Lifeways?
- work with residents with dementia and memory concerns performing tasks related to personal hygiene and physical comfort of residents as required or requested.
- Assist with treatments and therapies under the direction of licensed personnel and according to departmental policy.
- Serve and assist residents with nourishments and feeding.
- Transfer residents from bed to chair, etc., with personnel or mechanical assistance.
- Prepare and/or transport residents to and from activities, physician visits, therapy, beauty shop, or other facilities, as directed during shift assignments.
- Observe residents, charting and/or documenting physical conditions, attitudes and appetites, reporting changes or unusual findings to Staff Nurses.
