CNA - Activities Assistant - Part Time - Terraces of Lake Worth Care Center

TERRACES OF LAKE WORTH, A SKILLED NURSING FACILITY LOCATED IN LAKE WORTH, FL, IS SEEKING A CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT WITH ACTIVITIES EXPERIENCE TO WORK PART TIME. 

NOTE:  This position requires a CNA license.

Position Description 

The CNA/Activities Assistant is responsible for helping with physical, educational, or social activities in a variety of settings. As a CNA/Activities Assistant, your duties revolve around assisting residents or patients with use of equipment, and planning and monitoring their participation in various activities.

Responsibilities of the CNA/Activities Assistant:

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating the recreation programs of this Facility.
• Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining an ongoing quality assurance program for the recreation department.
• Oversee the residents engaged in scheduled activities to promote the physical, social, and mental wellbeing of residents by applying experience in activities and knowledge of diagnoses and conditions of residents.
• Involve the residents and family in planning recreation programs, when possible.
• Coordinate activities with other departments, as necessary.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; participating in professional organizations; maintaining licensure.
• Enhances nursing department and hospital reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
• Arrange transportation for field trips when necessary.

Requirements of the CNA/Activities Assistant:

• Must maintain a satisfactory level of attendance and punctuality.
• CPR Certification preferred.
• CNA license
