Job Description

The CMM Technician is responsible for programming and operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to ensure the quality of our product meets the customer and industry standards. This is achieved by performing quality inspections, applying quality inspection techniques, and identifying nonconforming hardware. As an CMM Technician, you will be responsible for the daily operation of and providing support to other users within the Quality group.

Responsibilities:

• Program CMM for various inspection tasks of components and assemblies

• Analyze measurement data to identify deviations from specifications

• Perform incoming part inspections, in process inspections, and final inspections

• Manage and perform routine maintenance and calibration of CMM equipment

• Manage fixtures and spare parts

• Work closely with engineering and production teams to address quality issues

• Communicate and effectively work within all levels of organization to discuss and help resolve quality issues in a timely manner

• Ensure compliance with Health/Safety/Environmental/and Fire regulations

• Champion a work environment focused on quality, communication, collaboration, integration, and team collaboration

• Maintain cleanliness in the lab and supporting areas in accordance with 5S standards: Sort, set in, Shine, Standardize, Sustain

• Perform various other duties and projects as assigned

Required Education:

• High School Diploma or GED required

Preferred Certification:

• Technical certification, or AS technical degree preferred, but not required

Required Experience:

• 4+ years of experience in manufacturing related job or equivalent relevant experience

• 2+ years of experience of CMM programming

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong understanding of CMM operation and programming

• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications

• Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)

• Knowledge of quality control principles and practices

• High attention to detail. Being able to identify and document even minor deviations.

• Excellent communication skills: verbal and written

• Proficient in Microsoft Office

• Strong self-motivation and desire to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Preferred Knowledge and Skills:

• Knowledge of Carl Zeiss equipment and CALYSPO is a plus

• Ability to communicate in Korean and/or Japanese is a plus

Additional requirements:

• Comply with company Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements

• Able to work in manufacturing environments

• Hands-on support of equipment

• Prompt and regular attendance within our onsite operations

• Flexibility to work adjusted shifts as necessary
