Are you passionate about precision, detail-oriented, and have a knack for problem-solving? We are seeking an experienced CMM Inspector to join our dynamic team in the manufacturing industry. This position will involve working with cutting-edge technology and a team of dedicated professionals to ensure the highest level of quality for our products. As a CMM Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting parts and assemblies to ensure they meet all specifications and quality standards. This is a full-time permanent position that requires a minimum of three years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities:
1. Operate and program CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) to inspect parts and assemblies according to design specifications and quality standards.
2. Utilize GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles to interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
3. Use precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers to perform manual inspections as needed.
4. Comply with AS9100 quality management system requirements and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
5. Document inspection results by completing reports, summarizing re-works and wastes, and inputting data into quality database.
6. Initiate corrective actions when parts or assemblies do not meet quality standards and work collaboratively with the production team to resolve issues.
7. Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
8. Keep measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and calling for repairs.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a CMM Inspector or in a similar role in the manufacturing industry.
2. Proficiency in CMM programming and operation, preferably with experience in pcdmis software.
3. Solid knowledge of GD&T principles and ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
4. Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
5. Familiarity with AS9100 quality management system requirements.
6. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to initiate corrective actions when necessary.
7. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
8. Good communication and teamwork skills.
9. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
10. High school diploma or equivalent. A degree in a related field or relevant certifications will be an advantage.
