Doyen Search Group is recruiting a Club Director (CD) for a premier private golf and country club. Club Director (CD) to oversee its year-round operations and lead a dynamic team in delivering exceptional member experiences. This club is widely regarded for its stunning location, luxurious amenities, and commitment to excellence in service.
The Club Director will guide a team of seasoned department heads, overseeing member services, food and beverage outlets, events, golf operations, membership, and a seasonal marina. This individual will also collaborate closely with leadership to develop innovative programming and events that reflect the club’s core values while enhancing its reputation. The position requires a hands-on, visible approach to leadership, especially during peak seasons. The CD reports directly to the President/General Manager.

The Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate is an experienced leader in private club, luxury hotel, or resort operations. They thrive in a hands-on role, actively engaging with team members and members to ensure seamless operations. This individual excels in event execution, financial management, and delivering inclusive, positive experiences for current and prospective members alike.
Essential Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in private club operations or a comparable field within the hospitality industry and at least 7 years of management or supervisory experience.
- Work Ethic: Demonstrates flexibility and commitment, with availability to work evenings, weekends, and as needed to meet business demands.
- Team Collaboration: Strong ability to work cross-functionally with other departments while maintaining a visible presence and making independent decisions.
- Financial Expertise: Proficiency in managing departmental budgets, staffing, forecasting, financial reporting, and conducting break-even analyses.
- Event Management: Proven experience in planning, promoting, and executing events to enhance member engagement.
- Detail-Oriented: Accuracy in maintaining member files, processing documents, and generating reports.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey ideas clearly and concisely.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business, marketing, or a related field.
- Event Marketing: Expertise in promoting and managing events to drive member engagement.
- Concept & Policy: Ability to quickly grasp concepts and self-educate on current rules and regulations.
