About the Job
Doyen Search Group has been engaged to conduct a national search for an experienced Club Director for Whitetail Club, listed in the top-100 Platinum Clubs of America. The Club Director (similar to an AGM, Clubhouse Manager, or Director of Operations) is responsible for a year-round operation, with spring and summer being the high season.
The Club Director should be an expert in ensuring world-class member experiences and developing compelling programming and events. Reporting to the President of the real estate venture, the CD has a unique opportunity to lead a talented, loyal team of department heads and service staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
This mountain location is ideal for an individual and/or family who loves small-town living and a wide variety of outdoor activities. The town offers many dining and entertainment options, an excellent school system and state-of-the-art medical facilities.

Essential Qualifications
·Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, Business, Marketing or another related field
·5 years experience in private Golf and/or country club operations or related hospitality field
·7 years management/supervisory experience
·Clear & concise written and verbal skills
·A "hands on" approach yet who works strategically in the process
·Ability to create and manage budgets
·Ability to plan, promote and manage events
·Exceptional attention to detail in member files, processing, and reporting
Preferred Qualifications
·Marketing experience with internal events.
·Experience drafting and reviewing contracts and other business agreements.
·Experience in Property Owner Associations or similar oversight committees.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1.Promotes the Club to facilitate membership sales.
2.Promotes golf, tennis, fitness, marina and other sports at the club and spreads enthusiasm and good will among employees, members and guests.
- Conducts tours for prospective members and holds prospective member functions.
4.Successfully participating in converting member prospects into new members.
- Personally, meets each club member and instills confidence that the club is operated in the best interests of the membership. Participates in member vetting with the President.
6.Establishes short- and long-term goals, tactfully enforces club policies and maintains standard operating procedures.
7.Part of the training and retraining of staff on a continual basis.
8.Learns new skills and takes on new challenges, proposes innovative ideas to improve operations. Works closely with Head Professional and Superintendent to strive for excellence in the golf operation.
9.Assists with hiring and training quality staff in the club operation. Manages all club employees to always be consistent with appearance, service and overall club operation performance.
- Continually trains and informs all staff to be knowledgeable and informed on club events and activities.
- Provides good leadership in management, while building confidence in department heads to make their own decisions with proper guidance and direction.
12.Prepares monthly reviews of financials for the club operation.
13.Updates the member portal on a continuous basis. And has the ability to effectively leverage current technology.
14.Prepares annual review of rates and rules and regulations for the club operation.
- Prepares annual budgets for the club operation. Achieves goals set in financial and service areas of operation.
16.Prepares guidelines and executes programs in the areas of:
a.Club operations
b.Food and beverage
c.Club activities
17.Coordinates development of all club communications efforts including the Club Directory, monthly newsletters, weekly eblasts, etc. to members and perspective members.
- Coordinates development of the social activities and social calendar, promotes club activities in creative means in which member enthusiasm is generated and participation is increased. Tracks the success and overall performance.
- Coordinates updates to the Club’s website as it pertains to Member Events and Activities.
- Helps create and maintain Club traditions to establish a community within the Club.
- Administers and coordinates the Club’s policies through established operating procedures.
- Calls and requests active members to make personal referrals and to assist with recruitment efforts and follows-up on member referrals, leads from staff, prospective member leads directly from existing members.
- Effectively responds to member comments in accordance with club standards, policies and rules; uses ideas, feedback and suggestions to continuously improve the services provided to members.
- Reports approved new members to the controller to initiate proper administration of their memberships; ensures that applications are completely and properly filled out, that initiation fees are collected and that new members understand the privileges and costs of becoming a member.
- Processes member resignations; develops reports and undertakes special projects as applicable if membership retention problems arise.
- Responsible for maintaining confidentiality of all member information.
- Maintains the club’s data base (membership register) of members’ files in conjunction with accounting.
- Is present during club operating hours and events to assist in meeting and greeting members and guests.
29.Dresses appropriately and presents a positive and professional image towards the membership and community.
- Member of the Whitetail POA board of directors and attends quarterly and annual meetings.
- Member of the Senior Staff team. Attends weekly meetings.
- All other duties as assigned.
