Cloud Solutions Architect - The Clearing House

Position Summary:
We are seeking a Cloud Solutions Architect to design and implement cloud-based solutions for our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing our current systems, assessing our needs, and recommending cloud services and solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Payments industry experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications required:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Solutions Architect or similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of cloud computing technologies and current computing trends.
• Strong understanding of networking, security, and infrastructure.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• AWS certifications a huge plus.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Strong experience documenting Cloud and traditional infrastructure architectures using visual tools such as Visio or other standard tooling.

Essential functions and responsibilities:

• Assess current systems, identify potential areas for improvement, and develop cloud-based solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable and secure cloud architectures.
• Provide technical guidance and support to development teams.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve our cloud solutions.

Physical demands and work environment:

Work is generally sedentary in nature. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.
