Job Title: Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (Remote)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. This role offers the flexibility of working remotely, with a requirement to report on-site for the first day. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in cloud infrastructure, containerization, and automated cloud provisioning. You will collaborate with development teams, ensure the smooth deployment of cloud infrastructure, and contribute to the design and optimization of cloud-based solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with development teams and stakeholders to deploy products, services, and frameworks on cloud infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform to automate and provision cloud resources.
- Participate in design reviews with Enterprise Architects to deliver solutions within hybrid cloud environments.
- Work closely with stakeholders to gather and document requirements for digital enterprise deployment.
- Track and manage Risks, Issues, and Opportunities (RIO) as part of the Digital Enterprise process.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation regarding design decisions, impact assessments, and ongoing changes in the cloud infrastructure.
- Provide guidance on best practices for DevOps and cloud security implementations.
- Continuously evaluate and optimize cloud resources, ensuring scalability, performance, and cost-efficiency.
- Stay current with the latest cloud technologies and industry trends, integrating new solutions into the infrastructure.
- 3-5 years of experience in Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineering.
- Strong expertise in containerization technologies such as Docker, AKS, Kubernetes.
- Experience with managed and serverless databases such as Azure SQL and NoSQL.
- Proven track record of designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure solutions.
- Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform, with a preference for Azure networking.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, particularly Terraform.
- Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems in cloud environments.
- Knowledge of networking concepts such as VPNs, VPCs, routing, load balancing, and firewall configurations.
- Strong understanding of cloud security best practices and experience implementing security controls and compliance standards.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (e.g., Azure Monitor, CloudWatch, Splunk).
- Ability to troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to stay updated with the latest cloud technologies and adapt to the rapidly evolving cloud landscape.
- Experience with CMMI and Gov Cloud is a plus.
- Familiarity with Agile processes and delivery methodologies.
- Azure certifications are highly desirable.
Education:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Advanced degrees will be considered as additional experience.
- Equivalent work experience in a related field will also be considered.
