Summary: Our defense client is seeking candidates ready to begin an exciting journey as a Cloud Infrastructure and DevSecOps Engineer, where you'll play a pivotal role in designing, analyzing, implementing, and supporting advanced solutions for cloud deployment. Within our collaborative team of software and IT experts, you'll contribute to the development of high-performance, cloud based solutions.
Required Qualifications:
- Must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.
- BA/BS in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or a related field required.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in a specific technology practice (Infrastructure, Network, Storage, Servers, Security, Windows, Linux, etc.) for both on-premise and cloud resources.
- Network and operating system experience.
- Experience with container management technologies like OpenShift, AKS, EKS, Rancher, Docker.
- Experience using a source code repository such as Git, BitBucket, Mercurial, or Subversion.
- Experience using a defect management system such as Jira, Bugzilla or Fogbugz.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
Responsibilities:
- Support the development of open architectures and applications, infrastructure, and cloud platforms to ensure they are best suited for Cloud deployment and consumption.
- Support the adoption of Cloud best practices and supporting technologies to enable such capabilities as DevSecOps, Big Data/Analytics, AI, and Micro-Services.
- Support the architecture, design, development, troubleshooting, and implementation of cloud solutions.
- Work closely with the Information Technology Security team to ensure the applications and solutions designed and deployed are secure and compliant.
- Effectively Interface with Customer personnel at varying organizational levels.
- Must be self-motivated and expected to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Report status on tasks and assignments.
- Must be able to generate preliminary and detailed designs as required for enhancements or modifications to existing designs, requiring the application of current industry design concepts and utilization of basic technical writing skills.
- Must be able to perform effectively as part of a project "team".
