Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Cloud Engineer, Principal to join our team in the Chantilly, VA.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
+ Shall assume a technical role in the administration and management of infrastructure solutions that are deployed in the Amazon
+ Web Services (AWS). Integrating AWS with Database Administrator and DevOps teams. Support an agile team to integrate/implement the infrastructure for containerized/microservice platform, offering core capabilities such as decoupled services, workflow orchestration, and event-driven automation. Use AWS CLI to deploy, troubleshoot and customize cloud resources.
+ Suggest and implement improvements in the deployment and usage of Office 365 tools, including how to leverage new features, best practices, and improved governance. Learn/Research new technologies. Tier 3 debugging and debugging full-stack.
+ Producing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) or Configuration as Code (CaC), delivering solutions with a code first approach with sufficient comments and structure
+ Participate in peer code reviews
+ Collaborating with engineering and development teams to evaluate and identify optimal cloud solutions.
+ Regularly reviewing existing cloud solutions and making recommendations for improvements
+ Interacting with clients, providing cloud support, and making recommendations based on client needs
+ Diagnosing and resolving complex performance, security, and/or technical challenges
+ Designing automated approaches to standardize the development of Service Design Packages to integrate enterprise systems.
+ Experience OR deep knowledge of using containerization technology, including Open Container Initiative (OCI) compliant containers and OpenShift Container Platform (OCP)
+ Create and maintain system technical documentation and replace documentation with well documented code.
+ Interact with users to gather requirements, evaluate vendor products, analyze alternatives, and make recommendations to purchase hardware and software
Minimum Qualifications:
+ 7+ years of experience
+ Requires Bachelor's degree or 4+ additional years of experience
+ Minimum DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification required (CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, Sec+, CND, SSCP)
+ DoD 8570 Computing Environment certification within 6 months of hire
+ Proficiency in PowerShell, Bash, Python, YAML, JSON or Ansible for automation
Preferred Qualifications:
+ 3 years developing/implementing/deploying solutions associated with:
+ Server-less solution in Amazon Web Services (AWS) incorporating CloudFormatlon, SAM CU, lambda, Eventbridge, CloudWatch, SNS, SQS, S3, 1AM policies & roles, VPC endpoints, AWS Service-Linked Roles (SLRs)
+ Leveraging AWS CodeBuild, CodeCommit CodeDeploy, CodePipeline
+ AWS-managed security services (e.g., Security Hub, Config, GuardDuty, Inspector, Macie, Detective. 1AM Access-Analyzer, CloudTrail),
+ AWS Systems Manager (SSM).
+ Extensive knowledge of AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud platforms
+ AWS Certification – Associate or above is required
+ Experience managing enterprise scale solutions that leverage the following AWS Services: EC2, S3, CloudFormation, RDS, CloudFront, VPC, Route53, IAM, CloudWatch, Beanstalk, Lambda, etc.
+ Experience scripting in python or bash or comparable language
+ Familiarization with Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS)-199, NIST SP 800-53, NIST SP 800-53A, NIST SP 800-37, and DoD Cloud Security Requirements Guide
+ Experience scripting against AWS CLI
+ AWS or Azure Solutions Architect certified.
+ Experience in automation and server-less solution architecting development in Azure.
+ Experience in automation and server-less solution architecting development in Oracle Cloud.
+ Experience with streaming data tools and software, such as Apache or Confluent Kafka
+ Experience with Data Integration, Data Engineering and Data Lake implementations using ETL, Big Data and Cloud Technology.
+ Experience with JIRA Confluence
+ Knowledge of AWS user, security, and networking configurations
+ Experience with cloud edge computing solutions
+ Experience with Azure Resource Manager templates, BICEP, or similar cloud templates
+ GitHub Enterprise, GitLab, Azure DevOps or other code repositories experience
+ CI/CD pipeline experience

Physical Requirements:
+ Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75%
+ Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer
+ The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
