Position Summary
The Cloud DevOps Administrator will be responsible for the administration, security, and optimization of our hybrid cloud environments, focusing on platforms such as Azure, M365, and integrated systems like D365, Teams, SharePoint, and Power Platform. This role requires a holistic approach to managing our technology stack, ensuring reliability, scalability, and alignment with our organizational goals. The ideal candidate will bring specialized knowledge in cloud and DevOps practices, contribute to cost optimization, and support security and compliance initiatives.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Systems Administration and Development Support
- Oversee a diverse landscape of systems and applications within the Solutions Development group, providing administration, maintenance, and development support.
- Manage integrations between interconnected platforms, ensuring seamless data flow and preventing disruptions.
Hybrid Cloud Management
- Focus on the administration and optimization of Azure and other cloud-based services, ensuring cost-effective, resilient, and scalable cloud infrastructure.
- Manage hybrid cloud environments to support both on-premises and cloud-based applications.
Security and Compliance
- Prioritize security by implementing robust access controls, managing data protection measures, and ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct regular security audits and address vulnerabilities to maintain system integrity.
Automation and DevOps Practices
- Implement DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, to automate deployment, testing, and maintenance processes, enhancing efficiency and reducing error rates.
- Leverage scripting languages, such as PowerShell, and utilize Microsoft Graph to automate routine tasks and optimize operations.
Cost Optimization
- Identify opportunities to optimize cloud resources, reducing unnecessary expenses and improving cost-efficiency.
- Monitor and analyze resource utilization to ensure cost-effective performance of cloud environments.
System Availability and Reliability
- Proactively monitor system health and performance, minimizing downtime and ensuring high availability of critical applications.
- Troubleshoot issues promptly to improve the overall user experience and productivity.
Custom Development and Support
- Provide support for custom development within listed systems, utilizing tools like Visual Studio Code and DevOps for version control and deployment.
- Collaborate with developers and end-users to resolve issues and implement improvements as needed.
Scalability and Growth
- Support organizational growth by scaling cloud infrastructure to accommodate new technologies and evolving demands.
- Develop strategies for sustainable system expansion, including capacity planning and performance optimization.
Holistic Systems Management
- Take a holistic approach to managing all systems and applications, ensuring they align with the organization’s mission and objectives.

May volunteer or be selected to serve on special committees, work groups, project teams, or escalation teams related to various firm wide IT initiatives. Initiatives may be specific one-time events (e.g., research, testing, rollouts, upgrades, installations) or ongoing activities.

Requirements
Education: Bachelor's Degree in computer-related field. Additional training, education, and/or certification in relevant areas preferred.
Experience: 3+ years in Cloud DevOps Administration.
Analytical and Communication Skills: Strong ability to analyze complex issues, prioritize tasks, and communicate solutions effectively to support organizational goals.
Platform Administration: Microsoft Windows, Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project), Microsoft Project, Microsoft 365 tools (Power BI, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive), BI Platforms (Tableau, PowerBI), No Code (Microsoft PowerPlatform and Dynamics), and any legal specif software from Latera, Thomson Reuters, and Intapp (preferred).
Skills:
- Automation & Scripting: Proficient in Visual Studio Code, DevOps, PowerShell, and Microsoft Graph for automation.
- Cloud Security: Solid understanding of cloud security practices and compliance standards.
- DevOps & Optimization: Skilled in CI/CD pipeline management, cloud cost optimization, and project leadership.
- Communication & Collaboration: Strong organizational and communication skills, able to work across all levels within a firm. Experience in law firms is advantageous. Demonstrates a clear understanding of firm goals and can prioritize solutions to support them.
- Technical Proficiency: Expertise in Microsoft Windows and Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project), along with Microsoft PowerBI, SharePoint, Zoom, and Teams.

Supervisory Responsibilities: No direct supervisory responsibilities, but must be able to lead and motivate matrix based reports for assigned projects.
Equipment To Be Used: Personal computer and other office equipment such as telephone, calculator, fax, machine, copier, scanner, etc.

- Must work in office as required.
Working Conditions: Works remotely. Occasionally called upon to work hours in excess of your normal daily schedule. Potential for in-office work requests as needed, so proximity to the office is important.
