Cloud Architect (Secret Clearance required) - IT Concepts

IT Concepts, Inc. (ITC) seeks an experienced Cloud Architect to support a DOD SOCOM opportunity. ITC will provide the Government with program management and services related to emerging technology solutions, including Enterprise Architecture (EA) and data science, application development and management support, training, and enterprise ecosystem support.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for designing, managing, and integrating new and existing applications into the SIE cloud environment.
• Design, implement, and oversee cloud architecture for DoD systems, ensuring it meets security, scalability, and performance requirements. Skills including AWS and Azure Cloud Environments.
• Implement security controls following DoD cybersecurity policies, including managing encryption, access controls, and data protection strategies to meet compliance standards like the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
• Develops and applies scalable architecture to USSOCOM cloud platforms.
• Monitors and analyzes cloud infrastructure performance to identify and resolve issues proactively.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to optimize cloud-based environments for performance and scalability. Design controls and processes that utilize available audit tools.

Location: On-site in Fayetteville, NC.

Requirements

• Senior level: 10 years of experience and an MA/MS degree.

• Substitutions for education:

• Bachelor's degree plus 8 years work experience may be substituted for a master’s degree
• 12 years of work experience may be substituted for a master’s degree

Preferred Skills:

• Proficiency in designing and implementing cloud infrastructure using AWS and Microsoft Azure platforms.
• Strong understanding of DoD cybersecurity frameworks, including the Risk Management Framework (RMF), DoD Cloud Computing Security Requirements Guide (SRG), and compliance with the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP).
• Expertise in cloud networking, including Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) design, connectivity options (VPNs, direct connect), and integrating cloud systems with on-premises DoD infrastructure.
• Knowledge of cloud automation tools and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Ability to work with teams but is self-motivated to complete projects independently.
• Ability to work entirely on-site with minimal accommodation

Clearance Requirements:

• Must have an active DOD Secret clearance
