10 month duration, starting August 1st

Job Summary
The Clipper Early Childhood Academy Manager will report directly to the principal and provide a variety of administrative duties including, but not limited to, attendance, coordinating services, and attending to minor illness/injuries. The Manager, although not a position of management, will assist and intervene when necessary.
Reporting Relationships
The administrative assistant will report directly to the Director of Preschool, or designee and will have a working relationship with building staff, buildings and grounds, food service, Champions, and potentially community agencies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy in detail oriented jobs.
- Ability to organize and prioritize projects and deadline driven.
- Effective oral and written communications.
- Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, and equipment.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel, the Google suite and the ability to learn other computer programs as necessary. Other programs include:
- PowerSchool and Schoology
- AESOP (Substitute and Leave System)
- Pleasant personality with strong consumer service orientation.
- Ability to work under pressure with frequent interruptions.
- Maintain student records and to prepare state reports from such records.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and the public.
- Capable of representing the school in a professional manner, which includes but not limited to confidentiality, communication skills, and dress.
Essential Job Functions
- Working collaboratively with others supporting students with behavior, attendance and achievement of academic goals.
- Administer first aid/medicine as directed.
- Act as administrative designee when the Director is not available or onsight.
- Provide active communication and positive relationships with parents, students, staff and community members.
- Providing assistance to a teacher with de-escalating student behavior when necessary.
- Providing supervision of students (e.g. lunch, breakfast, recess, substitute as needed) to maintain student safety or student to staff ratios.
- Receives phone calls from the public and staff. Provides appropriate information. If necessary, route calls to other officials for resolution and follow-up.
- Produce letters and correspondence
- Prepare and distribute mail
- Prepare student reports related to attendance, schedules, enrollment
- Process and check in requisitions
- Arrange meetings as directed. Prepare schedules and inform participants, confirming dates and times.
- Collaborate with counseling staff as needed
- Attend meetings as assigned.
- Establish, revise, and maintain office files and other clerical procedures.
- Order office supplies as needed.
- Assisting with other duties as may be assigned.
