Clinical Support Medical Assistant, Navigation Center - Cottage Health

Responsible for telephone assessment of patient's needs under the direction of Cottage Navigation Center Leadership. Assists the clinical support nurse's and Navigator Specialists and Leads in the day-to-day call center functions to aid in exceptional patient experience.

LEVEL OF EDUCATION

Minimum: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or one (1) year of equivalent work experience (getting certification with one year of hire) Preferred:

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Minimum: Preferred: California State Certified Medical Assistant

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

Minimum: Knowledge of clinical practices and medical terminology, Ability to understand use, function, interpret, document and keep records. Familiarity with MS Office, Microsoft Outlook, and Electronic Medical Records Preferred: Experience with Epic and CRM

YEARS OF RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE

Minimum: One (1) year of medical assistant experience in a clinic setting Preferred: Minimum of three years of medical scribe experience in a clinic or hospital setting. Experience using call center phone systems.
