USC Mann is accepting applications for a Clinical Staff Pharmacist engaged in clinical pharmacy services, and teaching responsibilities. The position requires the applicant to provide patient care services at Saban Community Clinics with locations throughout Los Angeles County. The candidate will precept students for ambulatory care introductory and advanced pharmacy practice experiences (IPPEs and APPEs) with an emphasis on interprofessional education (IPE). The Clinical Staff Pharmacist will work with patients with chronic conditions and the primary care clinician team, to ensure optimal results from drug therapy for these chronic conditions, and to support patients in taking more of an active role in medication and healthcare self-management; as well as to assist clinicians in providing individualized patient care for patients. They will support health care providers through collaborative practice agreements including but not limited to, drug therapy management, medication conversion programs, chronic disease management, medication use evaluation and other functions to ensure that the use of medications is rational and cost‐effective. The candidate will also be contributing to the specialty pharmacy services. The Clinical Staff Pharmacist position requires an individual with a PharmD degree. Preferred experience includes a PGY1 ambulatory care or community practice residency, or at least one year of clinical practice experience, teaching and precepting students, and providing patient care in areas emphasized above. Advanced Practice Pharmacist licensure, and/or board certification is also preferred. Fluency in written and spoken English and/or bilingual preferred. Additional requirements for this position include demonstrated ability to be organized and detailed oriented; ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team; able to work with professionals with different management styles; ability to work under minimum supervision; reliable and dependable; effective and professional communication skills. Occasional meetings and presentations may be required, as well as evenings and weekends. The hourly rate range for this position is $70.00 - $75.00. Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree Minimum Experience: 1 year Minimum Field of Expertise: Degree from accredited (ACPE) school of pharmacy. Registered pharmacist in state of California.
