About the Job
A Behavioral Psychiatrist Health Care Center located in Philadelphia, PA is looking for an Clinical Services Specialist (Masters)
Type: Contract/ Ongoing
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Purpose:
To provide Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services (PSR) facility based and/or in the community as.assigned To facilitate groups/units to enhance an individual's knowledge to develop, enhance and retain skills and competencies in living, learning, working and socializing.
To help individuals receive the level of and/or have access to the services/supports they choose, so that an individual can live in the environment of their choice.
To monitor and track progress of individual's in assigned caseload; participate in the development of individualized rehabilitation plans.
To monitor the clinical status of individuals, provide counseling, service coordination, and assist with the development/implementation of service delivery.
Supervision Received:
Receives direct supervision from the Program Manager and/or Team Leader.
Supervision Exercised:
May provide supervision to staff as directed by Program Manager and/or Team Leader.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree and 2 years work experience in mental health direct service, 1 year of which must be in Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services (PSR).
Masters degree required if position provides therapy.
Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner (CPRP) certification required; must be obtained within two years of hire if not currently possessed
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as be detail-oriented and able to complete a high volume of documentation in a fast-paced environment.
Strong computer skills are required, as well as Internet research abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of mental health system and supports.
Must possess a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Scope:
Frequent talking and listening.
Requires lifting and/or carrying and the ability to fold, kneel, stack, stoop and bend which may include direct client intervention.
Must be available for local travel.
May require crisis intervention for emergency situations.
Participation in on call coverage as applicable.
May be required to report to work during emergencies including inclement weather.
