Job Title: Research Associate / Cell Culture
Duration: 18 months contract, extendable up to 36 months
Location: Bothell, WA
Note:

Job Description:
Seeking a high-performing Associate to join our Manufacturing Science and Technology (MSAT) team in Bothell, WA. In this role, the primary responsibility will be laboratory maintenance and experimental execution related to internal manufacturing and technical innovation.
The ideal candidate will have some exposure to common mammalian upstream unit operations.
This is an exciting opportunity where this role will support projects, troubleshoot technical challenges, and apply new, innovative technologies to manufacturing.
The incumbent will work in a highly collaborative environment requiring attention to detail, good communication skills, and a willingness to learn.
Include but are not limited to:
Responsibilities include all aspects of mammalian cell culture, including media and buffer preparation, culture initiation, propagation of cells, and harvesting of cultures.
Build, maintain, and clean benchtop bioreactors; support pilot-scale (50-200L) single-use bioreactor through equipment setup, culture maintenance, and cleanup
Laboratory management (maintaining and cleaning equipment, analytical instrument maintenance, ordering and stocking supplies)
Performance of basic laboratory protocol studies, including basic calculations and data analysis.
Accurate and reliable record keeping including database management, batch records, notebooks, and all pertinent documentation.
Data analysis with guidance, summarize and present experimental findings in team meetings
Assist in documentation where appropriate.
Follow Standard Operating Procedures and adhere to all safety and company policies.
Technical Skills
Exceptional aseptic technique desired
Experience in cell culture operations desired
Strong organization, time management and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
The ability to multitask and think critically and creatively
A willingness to learn and contribute to team goals
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with others in a dynamic environment
Excellent verbal/written communication skills
Applicant must be willing and able to work on a flexible schedule (some weekends)
Ability to lift 50lbs and stand for up to 8 hours
Education and Experience
Associate's degree or BS in Biology, Biotechnology, Engineering or other relevant area of scientific training and/or 2 5 years relevant work experience consistent with the anticipated responsibilities detailed above
