Looking to join a cutting edge medical device team that is paving the way in endoscopic, minimally invasive spine surgery? Read on! The Clinical Sales Representative may manage multiple accounts and is responsible for increasing clinical utilization of endoscopic spine surgery programs. The CSR serves in a hybrid role with responsibility for leading the development of new endoscopic spine programs and driving recurring disposable sales. The CSR is responsible for conducting the basic system training of hospital surgical teams, and in servicing for appropriate SPD personnel. This position requires the ability to provide intra operative support and guidance to new surgeons during the endoscopic spine surgery learning curve. The CSR will achieve regional sales and product mix budget through direct sales efforts with existing customers and pursuing new surgeon users. This position reports to a Regional or Territory Sales Manager and/or Area Sales Director; dotted line to Director of Clinical Education.
Immediate Opening for a Clinical Sales Rep who possesses:
- Industry experience is required: Minimum of 3 years clinical experience in Operating Room (OR) setting, representation of surgical products in an OR setting, and/or or experience in spine and/or capital equipment
- Possess a good understanding and application of professional selling skills required
- Must possess strong clinical acumen and the ability to build strong relationships with healthcare professionals
- Excellent strategic ability, creative thinker
- Strong interpersonal skills and understanding of surgical procedures and clinical needs
- Establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives with minimal direct supervision
- Communicate company information in a clear, concise manner to management and customers
- Handle and resolve customer concerns in a timely and professional manner
- Promote and propagate a strong "customer first" attitude
- Ability to work independently in a home office environment
- Work a flexible schedule with significant overnight travel
Key Responsibilities include:
- Test and measure finished products, components, or devices for function, operation.
- Implement sales strategies and tactics to grow business at new and existing
endoscopic spine accounts.
- Assist in training workshops for surgeons at the Irvine training center and remote
centers as needed.
- Develop new endoscopic spine programs by providing case coverage and clinical support for surgeons conducting evaluations and first cases with techniques and products as they
move to becoming consistent users and customers.
- Provide independent ongoing case coverage to accounts as warranted and on a rotational basis as determined with RSM/TSM/Director.
- Recruit and train additional surgeons to endoscopic systems and products.
- Share opportunities and leads with RSM/TSM/Director for new capital sales projects.
- Sustain a high level of communication with the US Sales and clinical education team to ensure collective sharing of knowledge and surgical case experience, and to align on methods for training surgeons and staff on techniques and products.
- Manage account inventory, calendar, and quarterly goals.
- Review monthly disposable sales performance and forecasts for assigned accounts and utilize information for corrections and on-going account management.
- Assist in guiding customers and distributors in conducting market development within defined geography to include but not limited to referring physician, patient referral and community awareness programs.
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
