We are hiring for Nurse Manager for the 7 South Complex Medical/Stroke Progressive Care Unit at UofL Hospital
Location: 530 South Jackson Street, Louisville, KY 40202
Shift: Day Shift, 5 days/week
About Us
7 South is a 25-bed neuro/trauma progressive care unit. Clinicians on this unit care for a variety of disease processes involving the following systems: Neurological, Respiratory, Endocrine, Cardiac, Immune/Infectious Disease, and Renal.

Responsibilities
Job Summary
The Clinical Nurse Manager will have responsibility for the overall operations of the nursing unit to include financial performance, service quality, clinical outcomes, quality improvement, employee satisfaction, and patient satisfaction. The clinical manager of the nursing department will have direct reporting responsibility to a designated nursing director.
The Unit of focus:
- 7 South Complex Medical/Stroke Progressive Care unit, in the area’s only level 1 trauma center
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited nursing program
- Current KY RN licensure or compact license with privileges to work in Kentucky
- 5+ years of experience in an acute care setting
- Basic Life Support (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Prior experience in nursing leadership roles in the hospital setting
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited nursing program
- Professional certification in either a leadership or clinical specialty area (If certification not present on hire, it is to be obtained within 3 years of hire into position.)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA)
