The data-oriented Clinical Research Coordinator will support the exciting work of the Breakthrough Cancer (BTC) and DFCI collaboration. This applicant will support various pan-cancer projects and researchers working to generate unprecedented data and treatment approaches for the deadliest cancers. The candidate’s work will be directed by  Drs. Ligon and Beroukhim to support the efforts and goals of the overall BTC consortium as well as specific projects ongoing in the glioblastoma team lab.

The candidate will work to facilitate translational biomarker driven research by applying tissue and data management skills. The position involves research in clinical trials, including trials of novel immunotherapies and targeted therapies related to brain tumors. The position will also provide applicants with outstanding opportunities for interaction and collaboration with physicians, clinical research staff, and basic researchers in a dynamic and exciting environment.

• Bachelors Degree is required. Preferably in a scientific or engineering program.
• 0-1 years’ experience working in a medical or scientific research setting or comparable technology orientated business environment is preferred but not required.
• Requires close to moderate supervision.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Excellent organization and communications skills required.
• Strong interpersonal skills – ability to effectively interact with all levels of staff and externals contacts.
• Must be detail oriented and have the ability to follow-through.
• Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize workload.
• Must practice discretion and adhere to hospital confidentiality guidelines at all times.
• Must have computer skills including the use of Microsoft Office.
