Clinical Research Assistant, Oncology Research - Atlantic Health System

Responsible for performing a variety of administrative tasks in support of the clinical research program or laboratory. Manages the front desk, organizes files, and performs other clerical duties associated with research studies and programs. Oversees all aspects of the research study along with contract milestones and invoicing. Supports Clinical Research Nurse Coordinator with patient care related tasks.


Principal Accountabilities:
 

2. Obtain pathology specimens and reports ship and submit to sponsor via database requirements.
3. Assist clinical research team members with chart preparation
4. Obtain CT scan images upload and submit to sponsors per the requirements
5. Ensure all research lab kits are ordered and maintained per guidelines. Communicate with sponsors for re-order or disposal, monitor expiration dates, maintain a spreadsheet/database to track and maintain supplies. Ensure the research storage area is neat, labelled and maintained. Keep lab kit inventory and communicate to sponsor.
6. Obtain VS and PK samples as needed per protocol requirements.
7. Schedule test and procedures as needed
8. Maintain department patient calendar to keep current with patient appointments
9. Maintain equipment tracking log
10. Ensure there is a second check on chart and kit preparation
11. Other duties as assigned
