About the Job
Palo Alto Veterans Institute for Research (PAVIR) is seeking a part-time Clinical Research Administrative Assistant I to provide administrative support for Maheen Adamson for the recently funded NIH/NIA R21 grant.
The Administrative Assistant will do administrative tasks such as setting up meetings, keeping all documents for data sharing across several sites up-to-date, regulatory updates and helping writing reports of the project as needed.
This a part-time position, located on site in Palo Alto, CA.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
General Administrative support: · Assist with general administrative tasks, including regulatory and other data sharing documents used by various investigators in this multi-site study; · Assist with staff events, accreditation preparation, and other administrative tasks as assigned; |
Special Projects / Miscellaneous: · Assist with conferences including room set-up, catering order, registration, and other miscellaneous tasks as needed. |
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Required: High school diploma or equivalent;
- 0 - 1 year of related experience;
- Strong organizational skills and professional yet welcoming demeanor;
- Ability to work with highly confidential and/or sensitive matters;
- Ability to organize work, set priorities and use good time management;
- Accuracy and attention to detail;
- Ability to follow directions and procedures;
- Ability to complete directed tasks independently;
- Able to work cooperatively and with a positive manner;
- Understanding of basic office procedures;
- Good understanding of filing systems: alphabet, numerical and categories;
- Skilled in tracking and follow-up methods;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite - Word, Outlook, Power Point, and Excel;
- Working knowledge of basic office machines - fax, printer, scanner;
- Desired: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program or Bachelor's degree.
