Clinical Receptionist - Ultimate Staffing Services

We are currently hiring for a Medical Receptionist in New Haven. We staff for local medical universities and private practices and need reliable, hardworking medical receptionists to join the team.

All positions start off as contract roles but are a great opportunity to help grow your career!

The pay is $27.06 hourly, 37.5 hours a week.

Minimum of 3-4 years experience.

Epic experience is preferred but not required.

Essential Duties:

1. Answers telephone calls and assess urgency of call.
2. Assists patients with the completion of forms.
3. Maintains clinic and provider schedules and modifies any changes.
4. Schedules patient appointments and resolves scheduling conflicts.
5. Receives patients and visitors. Secures names and needs and directs accordingly. Updates patient information and verifies insurance information, level of services and tracks referrals when necessary. Initiates billing process by completing patient encounter forms and accepts and processes fee for service payments.
6. Books diagnostic tests and specialized appointments for patients at hospitals and other medical facilities and ensures patients are provided with necessary paperwork and specialized instructions for procedures.
7. Keyboards correspondence, clinical information, reports, publicity material, educational handouts etc. Composes general written material.
8. Obtains patient charts, medical records and lab reports and verifies for completeness.
9. Sorts, screens and distributes incoming mail.
