Job Description:
This is a temporary, full-time position for employment between January and March 2025 that works under the direction of the Associate Director, Quality for a Medicare Shared Savings Program Accountable Care Organization (MSSP ACO).
Major Responsibilities:
- Review clinical records, according to 2024 CMS ACO measure specifications, of patients selected for reporting of designated quality measures.
- Abstract required clinical data into the quality measure registry to process 2024 CMS Web Interface quality measure results.
- Capture CQMs files when available within the EMR.
- Collect screen shots, note chart location, dates of service, etc. for documentation of measure compliance or exclusion per the participant’s instruction for the purposes of future audit.
- Demonstrate proficiency with CMS ACO Clinical Quality Measures by participating in training and inter-rater reliability activities.
- Communicate routinely with Associate Director, Quality to discuss abstraction performance, results, open issues, and trends in practice documentation practices for specific quality measures which may require provider staff re-education.
- Ability to work with teams to troubleshoot multiple EMR connections.
- Experience and knowledge of CMS Web Interface specifications and guidelines: minimum of 1 year
- ACO, GPRO, or Web Interface Clinical Abstraction experienced: minimum of 1 year
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience
- Ability to read and navigate clinical medical records
- Must be self-motivated and able to learn new computer software quickly
- Ability to complete medical record reviews using electronic systems
- Knowledge of PC, including utilizing the internet for research, word, excel spreadsheets:
- minimum of 2 years
