Responsibilities:Presbyterian Behavioral Health and Women’s Services seek a ClinicalPsychologist to join a collaborative care partnership that will provide onsite behavioral support for Women’s Care patients through the antepartum, delivery and postpartum process. A primary focus of this program will be to provide expectant mothers with substance use disorders with regular prenatal care and a plan of care for themselves during pregnancy and post-pregnancy that address their substance use disorder and assists them in transitioning post-pregnancy with their own healthcare needs and the needs of their newborn. This integral member of the women’s health team will also have the opportunity provide care for other behavioral health needs of Women’s Services patients.

Performs clinical service, including clinical supervision for all clinical staff within the Behavioral Health Program. Applies the counseling processes and therapeutic use of self to provide quality patient care and education clinical supervision to staff. Clinical supervision is defined as regular, ongoing supervision of counseling provided by another trained and experienced professional
Responsibilities
*Provides clinical supervision to staff including therapists, nurses, and behavioral technicians. Clinical supervision is regular, ongoing supervision of counseling provided by another trained and experienced professional, including assisting the clinician to move through the therapy process with patient in an organized and meaningful way, educating the clinician about the timely and proper utilization of theoretical models, assisting the clinician to understand the patient s broader context and, equally important, assisting the clinician to understand his/her own broader context. The clinician s own context includes his/her cultural background, gender and family history. These factors are highly influential in how the clinician thinks and feels about caring for the patient and doing therapeutic interventions and are essential to understand and discuss in the supervision process. Ensures staff practice appropriate behavior and skill-based competencies for the respective position.
*Performs counseling and case management for each patient assigned, including: assessment, diagnosis, planning care, intervention (including counseling patients/significant others, facilitating psychotherapy and educational groups), evaluation (including identifying unmet or new therapy services)
*Demonstrates the therapeutic core conditions including empathy, warmth, mutual respect, trust and positive regard when interacting with patients, significant others, and staff according to generally accepted counseling practice
*Performs professional clinical duties as the psychologist on staff for patients as needed, according to accepted standards of professional therapeutic practice. This includes collaboration and effective communication with nursing and ancillary staff, participation in multi-disciplinary treatment planning, and thorough documentation in medical record.
*Active participation in initiatives to improve clinical and service quality as directed by program administration
*Serves in a leadership role in regard to care of patients and appropriate therapeutic intervention
