PURPOSE: The Clinical Psychologist is responsible for providing psychological services, focusing on client evaluations, assessments, and ongoing support. This role involves collaborating closely with parents, caregivers, and clinical team members to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to client care. Responsibilities include conducting evaluations, completing detailed reports, providing diagnostic services, developing treatment plans, providing individual psychotherapy, and monitoring progress. Additionally, the Clinical Psychologist engages in care coordination and maintains ongoing communication with clinicians, families, and other related professionals to provide cohesive support in compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 6 months+ work experience in educational or community mental health settings
- State of AZ Prevention and Support Training
- State of AZ Article 9 Training
- Advanced degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in psychology
- License to practice psychology in the state of Arizona
- AzAHP -Initial and Annual Core Training Plan
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 1 year + supervised experience in administration, scoring, and interpretation of standardized assessments
- 1+ years of postdoctoral, post-internship experience involving assessment and treatment, and either training, research, consultation, or program planning experience in mental health services and/or educational settings
- Training in administration, scoring, and interpretation of assessments (including autism assessments)
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Clinical, Professional
Clinical Functions:
- Conduct diagnostic clinical interviews to gather comprehensive medical, social, educational, and psychiatric histories, assess strengths and challenges, and perform mental status examinations.
- Evaluate client capacity to respond to treatment and establish initial diagnoses based on clinical interviews and assessments.
- Administer, score, and interpret a range of psychological tests, including intelligence, autism, aptitude, and adaptive assessments, to inform diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Participate in treatment planning as part of a multidisciplinary team of behavioral and educational professionals.
- Prepare comprehensive psychological reports that detail interview findings, test results, diagnostic impressions, and treatment recommendations, and communicate results as needed.
- Provide psychological services, including individual psychotherapy, psychoeducational groups, assessments, and consultations.
- Monitor client progress using evidence-based tools and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with parents, medical professionals, and schools to ensure consistency in treatment and advocate for client needs across different settings.

Professional Functions:
- Maintain Arizona licensure; including continuing education requirements
- Participation in regulatory/compliance reviews and audits
- Maintains complete, comprehensive session notes and treatment plans and updates.
- Follows best practices, evidence-based practices, and outcome measures in assigned program areas;
- Monitors workflow; consults with other administrators; coordinates resources to meet needs of clients within the regions and programs assigned
- Recommends, requests approval for, and oversees the selection and procurement of testing assessments, protocols, and materials.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Position requires working in an office location as well as remote tele-work. Arion Care Solutions does not provide a separate workplace at a corporate location. Working from home requires a high degree of discipline and the ability to have a space dedicated to work in the home and provision for childcare if appropriate
