Clinical Psychologist - RESPONSIBILITIES (listed are included but not limited to)
- The Clinical Psychologist provides individual and group therapy for patients, addressing various psychological conditions such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and adjustment disorders. Offer therapy in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Assist patients in coping with medical and surgical conditions, helping them adjust to illness, injury, disability, and related psychological stressors. Support may include pre-surgery psychological evaluations, coping strategies, and rehabilitation guidance.
- The Clinical Psychologist collaborates with multidisciplinary teams in the rehabilitation of patients, offering psychological support to help them navigate physical, emotional, and cognitive recovery.
- Work closely with other healthcare professionals (physicians, psychiatrists, social workers, nurses) to develop and implement integrated care plans for patients.
- The Clinical Psychologist stays current with developments in clinical psychology, including the latest research, treatment modalities, and best practices.
Clinical Psychologist - REQUIREMENTS
- Education: Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA-accredited psychology program.
- Internship/Residency: Successful completion of an APA-accredited internship in clinical psychology.
- Experience: A minimum of 1 year of professional experience as a licensed clinical psychologist.
- License: Active, unrestricted license to practice as a Clinical Psychologist in any State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia.
- Life Support Certification: Current American Heart Association (AHA) or client (ARC) Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification.
- Security Clearance: Ability to successfully pass a government background check/security clearance.
