About the Position:
Harris Health System is seeking a Clinical Pharmacy Coordinator specializing in Hematology/Oncology to deliver advanced clinical pharmacy services and coordination. This role is pivotal in providing optimal medication management and innovative service delivery models that promote cost-effectiveness and superior patient care. The Clinical Pharmacy Coordinator will lead initiatives, serve as a residency program director, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and evaluate targeted drug programs. Responsibilities:
- Deliver optimal medication management and innovative clinical pharmacy services.
- Lead and develop clinical initiatives in partnership with pharmacy leadership.
- Serve as residency program director and preceptor for pharmacy interns, technicians, and residents.
- Collaborate on targeted drug programs, cost-containment initiatives, and drug utilization evaluations.
- Present findings and recommendations to the Utilization and Pharmacy Executive Leadership Committees.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (PharmD preferred).
- Licenses & Certifications:
- Registered with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy (must obtain licensure within 90 days if by reciprocity).
- Completion of PGY1 ASHP-accredited residency program (PGY2 in Oncology strongly preferred).
- Board of Pharmacy Specialties in Oncology and ACPE IV Sterile Certification preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of pharmacy experience, including 3 years in oncology-focused clinical pharmacy practice.
- Minimum of 2 years of pharmacy management experience.
- Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication, strong analytical and research abilities, proficiency in MS Office.
