Iowa Orthopedic Center is actively seeking a Orthopedic Clinical Operations Manager to join our team. In this role you will manage the daily operations and staff of the clinical departments, which includes our rad tech, medical assistants, and supervisor teams. The Clinical Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily clinical operations of Iowa Ortho, ensuring that clinical services are delivered efficiently, effectively, and in alignment with organizational objectives. This role involves coordinating the activities of clinical staff, optimizing workflows, implementing process improvements, ensuring compliance with regulations, and driving the overall quality of patient care. The Clinical Operations Manager collaborates closely with physicians, support staff, and other healthcare professionals to maintain an environment of excellence and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Management:
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the clinical departments to ensure smooth and efficient workflows.
- Monitor and analyze clinical metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop, implement, and monitor clinical policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure high-quality care and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Staff Management & Leadership:
- Supervise, train, and provide leadership to clinical staff, including rad techs, medical assistants, and supervisor team.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels for all clinical areas by managing scheduling, shift assignments, and staffing resources.
- Conduct performance evaluations and offer coaching and development opportunities for staff.
- Promotes a collaborative and team-oriented environment.
- Compliance & Regulatory Oversight:
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, OSHA, and other local, state, and federal laws.
- Conduct regular audits and ensure that clinical documentation, patient records, and other relevant materials meet legal and ethical standards.
- Oversee the implementation of infection control and safety protocols in clinical areas.
- Quality Assurance & Process Improvement:
- Lead initiatives to continuously improve clinical operations, including patient flow, care coordination, and patient satisfaction.
- Implement quality improvement strategies, monitor clinical outcomes, and ensure adherence to best practices.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and implement corrective action plans based on audit results or performance deficiencies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with physicians, directors, and other clinical leadership to ensure alignment of operational strategies with clinical goals.
- Act as a liaison between the clinical team and leadership to communicate operational needs, challenges, and improvements.
- Patient Care & Satisfaction:
- Ensure that patient care is delivered in a timely, efficient, and patient-centered manner.
- Monitor patient satisfaction surveys and work with clinical staff to address concerns or feedback.
- Address and resolve any clinical issues or patient complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Budgeting & Resource Management:
- Oversee budget management for clinical departments, including resource allocation, staffing, and supplies.
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs while maintaining high standards of care.
- Manage inventory of clinical supplies and ensure cost-effective purchasing.
- Associate's Degree in Radiology, Nursing, Athletic Training or other related area in the medical field
- Current appropriate state licensure
- Minimum three years of supervisory or management role in a high volume clinic setting required
- Demonstrated leadership skills and competencies including team building, motivating employees, performance management, results orientation and decision making.
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to oversee clinical services that deliver maximum quality care to all patients.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Mandatory reporter certification
- Orthopedic experience, preferred
